This Mother’s Day, Prioritize You — Here’s Why It Matters

Mother’s Day is a beautiful time to celebrate the women who give so much of themselves to their families. But it’s also an opportunity to pause and ask an important question:

What if the best gift you could give your family… was a healthier, more vibrant you?

As moms, we tend to put ourselves last — juggling work, parenting, errands, and everything in between. I know that story well. For years, I was stuck in that cycle: running on caffeine and willpower, burning out, and wondering why I felt so depleted.

But everything changed when I decided to take my health seriously.

I started eating in a way that truly nourished me — and almost immediately, my energy lifted, my mood stabilized, and the chronic issues I’d been battling began to fade. I wasn’t just surviving anymore… I was thriving. And that transformation had a ripple effect on my whole family.

My kids, Jack and Rosie, began watching me make different choices. They saw me prioritize meals packed with plants, hydration, and joy. They saw me start new hobbies like ballroom dancing and figure skating — just for fun! They saw me alive. That’s when I realized: the greatest way to lead is by example.
